Job Description:
Reporting to the Vice-President, Marketing and Stakeholder Engagement, the Director of Brand Marketing is responsible for leading marketing communications strategies and plans to enhance awareness, relevance and value of the CPA Canada brand. Further, this position plays a leading role in establishing the business’s brand-building strategies across all channels. You will also oversee the brand planning process, develop marketing mix and strategies on member brand-interaction to encourage increased awareness and engagement.
Job Responsibilities:
- Remain up to date with industry best practices and emerging strategies that will keep CPA Canada brand marketing strategy current contributing to a competitive edge in brand awareness, member acquisition, and retention
- Establish performance metrics in each area and ensure that marketing goals are met through regular reporting
- Lead the development and refinement of CPA Canada’s messaging and creative designs
- Lead member-facing communication approaches for the CPA Canada brand
- Guide and direct all of the creative deliverables across the spectrum of brand media, including branded marketing collateral, marketing campaigns, web, social media, display, and more
- Work with the marketing team on brainstorming and conceptual development sessions
- Manage all of the branding, and marketing requirements of the company, including brand marketing for web, video, newsletters, blogs, social media, events, SEO, and SEM
- Partner with the IT department, managers, and other marketing department teams in the development, deployment, and enhancement of strategies across the CPA Canada website, digital and social media, email campaigns, SEO/SEM
- Develop new creative, innovative, and out-of-the-box approaches in applying business unit messaging
- Work with senior management to support the vision and provide guidance to the marketing staff and partners on design, strategy, and adherence to the marketing goals and deliverables
Job Requirements:
- Proven and successful experience managing a marketing team from the conceptualization of a strategy to its close
- Excellent cross-functional leadership, presentation, and communication skills; dynamic team player
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Strong interpersonal abilities to effectively manage all internal and external relationships, vendors, and agency partners
- Proficiency in Google Analytics and experience with CRM systems, databases and marketing automation
- Demonstrate the ability to analyze data, derive insights, and build creative output to meet business objectives based on data
- Possess exceptional leadership skills, being able to move and inspire a cross-functional group, leading it into a unified direction and with a shared vision
- Proven ability to work through conflict, build trust and influence outcomes through outstanding skills at all levels
- Possess superior communication skills and must be display comfort interacting with senior executives and external business partners
- Be collaborative and an effective leader who holds others accountable for their deliverables in a way that inspires and motivates individuals and teams
- Understanding of web analytics and knowledge of SEO/SEM
Qualification & Experience:
- University degree in marketing, communications, or other related fields
- 15+ years of working experience, including at least 5 years of people management, developing creative and innovative marketing strategies that heavily leverage digital channels in facilitating effective brand marketing programs and messages
- Experience in identifying target audience segments and designing website experiences that engage, inform, and motivate
