Job Description:
Responsible for the daily operation of the Rides Department, promoting safety, guest service, cleanliness,quality of training and integrity.
Job Responsibilities:
- Writes and delivers counseling reports (attendance, behavior, etc.) and handles terminations when necessary.
- Resolves guest and employee concerns.
- Ensures compliance with federal and state laws, including but not limited to minor labor laws.
- Responds to all ride emergency situations.
- Complies and reports information on all incidents with the department.
- Determines when to open and shut down ride locations and notifies appropriate personnel; regulates the addition and subtraction of ride units.
- Establishes and maintains good working relationships with other departments.
- Interviews and makes hiring decisions for the Park Operations Division.
- Trains all Supervisors and Team Leads.
- Works closely with Rides Area Supervisors to maintain proper staffing levels by moving employees between departments and locations as necessary.
- Enforces all department and park policies and procedures.
- Supervises, develops and conducts performance appraisals for the Rides Area Supervisors.
- Ensures the accuracy of employee’s time worked and assigns area labor expenses according to department budget guidelines.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to implement and ensure compliance with existing and new policies.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to make sound decisions in high stress situations.
- Ability to understand the operation of every ride in the park.
- Ability to pass a basic math assessment.
Qualification & Experience:
- Ability to utilize strong verbal and interpersonal skills and speak effectively to groups of people.
- Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.
- Ability to work alone, with minimal supervision or in a team environment as needed.
- Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state orprovincial law.
- Ability to pass a background check, which may include, but is not limited to,credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy,unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
