Job Description:

Under limited supervision, manages the Admissions, Park Services, and Campground Departments. Plans, coordinates, and supervises respective areas, ensuring the safe and efficient operation, and the cleanliness of guest areas; helping to ensure overall park guest satisfaction. Supervises and reviews the work of subordinate managerial staff. Performs related duties as required. Reports to the Director of Operations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Monitors safety incidents to determine trends and takes immediate corrective action and/or makes recommendations for future changes.
  • Works on initiatives by Park administrators and Cedar Fair counterparts as needed.
  • Monitors guest comments on a daily basis and responds as indicated. Determines trends and develops and implements procedures to expeditiously resolve issues.
  • Oversees the preparation of departments operating budgets; maintains control over actual expenditures.
  • Establishes, maintains, implements, and improves departmental operational procedures and policies, and standards of quality and cleanliness.
  • Ensures and coordinates the proper maintenance of facilities and vehicles. Generates maintenance and project requests; assists with the effective design of construction/capital projects for the department
  • Oversees the development and implementation of department training programs.
  • Coordinates with other departments as necessary.
  • Develops the Area Managers of Admissions, Park Services, and the Campground.
  • Researches and develops long-range planning projects as requested; keeps abreast of current trends and innovations within the amusement park industry through contacts with other park operations management and trade organizations.
  • Oversees the development and execution of a business plan to maximize profit and guest satisfaction, recommending accommodations and retail pricing, tracking of financial information, and ensuring timely and accurate collection of rental fees

Job Requirements:

  • Prior experience with Amusement Park Management preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5 – 7 Years Related Experience required.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
  • Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial Law.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.
