Steve Madden Summer Internship – Sales Assistant

Job Description:

The position is responsible for assisting the sales team in the day to day operations of the department.

Job Responsibilities:

• Identify buyers needs and communicate to merchandising and design team
• Manage buyer requests and sample process from pre-production through delivery and maintain sample log
• Responsible for PO tracking and paperwork
• Help assist team by creating and maintaining ATS worksheets on a weekly basis
• Will work closely with account executive to create assortments based on selling history and current market trends.
• Knowledge of market, fashion trends and business environment
• Facilitation of orders through confirmation process
• Interface with production, design and customer service teams

Qualification & Experience:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• 1-3 years experience in retail, sales support of related field.
• 1-3 years experience in retail, sales support of related field.
• Proficient in Excel and Outlook
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
