Job Description:

We’re looking for energetic people with a knack for telling stories about the future of our major businesses—especially on topics that intersect with fixed income, indexing, and sustainability. Our team sits in iShares marketing and product, and partners closely with corporate communications and many other teams across BlackRock to drive foundational narratives. Our whitepapers and related activations help unify internal stakeholders and drive commercial priorities. We spend a lot of time thinking about how snappy language, probing data, and killer charts work together to support our efforts.

Job Responsibilities:

• Help ensure the creation of sleek, on-brand publications.
• Help create content that is strategic, engaging, and aligns with the iShares brand voice while expressing a point of view.
• Synthesize and contextualize internal and third-party research with an eye on bringing out salient facts.
• Find ways to get more eyeballs on our content.
• Generate, collect, standardize, facts and graphics related to key businesses that can be amplified with consistency both internally and externally.
• Generate story ideas and identify new thought leadership opportunities.
• Collaborate with partners in product, marketing, and corporate communications to build commercial narratives that work across regions and client types.
• Draft and revise short- and long-form copy—from articles and messaging briefs to papers and web copy.

Job Requirements:

• Adept at influencing without explicit authority and working effectively across numerous teams in a large organization.
• Strong attention to detail, highly collaborative, adaptable; not above any task required to meet deadlines.
• Understanding of financial market trends, indexing, and ETFs.
• Keen interest in sustainability, climate, and ESG investing.
• Ability to keep tabs on relevant academic and Wall Street research related to a wide range of topics and issues.
• Eye for adhering to editorial style and design principles.

Qualification & Experience:

• 10+ years experience communicating about financial markets and/or investing at an asset manager, broker-dealer, news outlet, or similar.
• Experience with using Bloomberg, FactSet, S&P Capital IQ, Morningstar Direct, or a related service is encouraged.
• Experience successfully working and delivering quality content on deadline.
• Experience with data visualization in storytelling.
