Wildlife Conservation Society Careers – Photography Assistant

Job Description:

The Wildlife Conservation Society seeks a production assistant to support Director of Photography with production needs for photo sessions, digital asset management, and other content making for publishing and promotion.

Job Responsibilities:

• Support pre-production, production, and post-production workflows
• Work with WCS Photo Collection’s digital asset management system preparing images for general use with labeling, tagging, keywording, and uploading
• Post-production optimizing of photos for WCS Photo Collection, promotion, social, and earned media as assigned
• Other duties as assigned including topic research and administrative
• Assisting with production needs and supporting photographer at photo sessions including working with lighting, gear set up and break down,
• securing models and releases, location scouting, prop sourcing, asset organization, and general assistance
• Writing captions and posts on subject-appropriate photographs for WCS Wild View blog

Qualification & Experience:

• Digital asset management experience
• Experience in pre-and-post production of assets is preferred.
• Detail-oriented
• Adobe Photoshop skills required
