Job Description:

The WCS Education Department works across our Zoos & Aquarium. We inspire a diverse and inclusive movement of conservation advocates by sparking connections with animals and nature, improving scientific literacy through hands-on investigation, and engaging constituents in stewardship and action to conserve wildlife and wild places.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Professional Development team to fulfill partnership programs and organize logistics.
  • Coordinate process and plan to schedule grant funded/free programming and keep track of free program deliverables as directed.
  • Manage FY Program Build Doc; Administer Terms & Conditions development/updates. Liaise with curators to confirm program descriptions for convergence build and registration, form build.
  • Track Urban Advantage vouchers and self-led visits, generate and submit UA invoice, track payment.
  • Assist the Assistant Director of Education Administration with special projects as needed.
  • Assist in updating support documents and record keeping for Urban Advantage.
  • Coordinate with Assistant Director of Education Administration to address and resolve issues and ensure we are meeting department goals;
  • Act as the main contact for the American Museum of Natural History for all administrative related inquiries regarding the Urban Advantage program.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Knowledge of Galaxy a plus; Highly organized and able to plan, multitask, and prioritize projects in a fast-paced environment; Experience collaborating and communicating with others in a team setting.
  • At least 2 years of administrative experience required; Exceptional customer service skills, in person and over the phone with customers and internal departments;Proficient knowledge of Google Apps and Microsoft Office & Excel;
  • Knowledge of Convergence and/or SAP preferred.
