Wildlife Conservation Jobs – Sales Associate

Job Description:

Merchandise Sales Associates prepare, promote, and sell WCS store products while ensuring a safe, fun-filled and educational experience for our guests at the New York Aquarium.

Job Responsibilities:

• Remain at assigned posts for long periods of time in a variety of weather conditions to assist with operations
• Ability to move objectives weighing up to 35 pounds (supplies, etc.)
• Process all forms of payment through the point of sale system, adhering to all WCS cash handling and inventory policies
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned work areas
• Stock shelves or process deliveries, following departmental inventory control procedures
• Assisting the team in carrying out any additional operational duties

Job Requirements:

• Minimum age of 16 years or older
• Prior cash handling experience preferred
• Customer service oriented

Qualification & Experience:

• Dependable and reliable
• Basic verbal, written, computer, mathematical & communication skills
• Proactive and outgoing nature – work efficiently and ability to multitask
