Job Description:

Candidate must be willing to function in all three key roles to the Guest Relations Representative position including direct guest assistance at a specified location within the Bronx Zoo, functioning as a receptionist for an Administration building, and providing back of house assistance to reception area and field staff including but not limited to managing a multi-line phone system, Customer Relations Management system, and interacting daily with all guests and WCS employees. Must be outgoing and provide superior customer service that will enhance the guest’s experience and maximize revenue opportunities, while supporting the mission of the Wildlife Conservation Society.

Job Responsibilities:

• Forwarding voicemails/emails to the appropriate parties
• Data entry – log and track guest correspondence and interactions that occur via email, phone, or in person
• Transferring calls and taking messages accurately and completely
• Maintaining a thorough knowledge of the WCS City parks.
• Provide service recovery to guests who have questions, comments or complaints
• Provide superior service to guests including but not limited to, assisting with directions to various parks, exhibits, attractions, rides and amenities, distributing information about park schedules and special events.
• Maintain clean office environment
• Operate entry doors for staff & visitor access to office building
• Answering a busy multi-line phone system

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or its equivalent (GED) required
• Strong written & verbal communication skills
• Prior receptionist and customer service experience preferred

Qualification & Experience:

• Friendly, proactive and outgoing nature
• Dependable and reliable
• Familiar with basic office equipment: phone, copier, scanner
• Experience in MS Office applications
• Ability to problem solve
• Ability to work independently on tasks
