Job Description:
As a Programme Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of high profile strategic initiatives crossing multiple functional workstreams, teams and markets, toward efficient and extensible launch plans, and scalable, sustainable ongoing operations. In particular, you will focus on Content Planning & Marketing, contributing to the successful launch Disney+ in new markets, key content and marketing campaigns, and managing programmes of work to drive operational excellence in these areas.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare programme charters and develop detailed project plans including detailed scope information, schedules/milestones, budget estimates and baselines, resource plans, and clear success criteria
- Identify, anticipate, and communicate programme dependencies across team including content, marketing disciplines, and product
- Serve as the focal point for development, iteration, and implementation of new content planning and marketing operations processes and refinement/improvement of existing processes required for scaling and sustaining the Disney Streaming brand and product
- Set priorities and successfully deliver programmes of work, including critical path management and capturing operational risks, issues, dependencies and decisions, as well as driving resolution or escalations as required
- Ensure the successful implementation of tools and workflows for collaboration between individual workstreams within Disney and Disney Streaming
- Identify opportunities to improve and streamline our business processes, in alignment with our Global Business Operations priorities
- Monitor the pulse of the Regional teams through various communication channels and manage stakeholder expectations
Job Requirements:
- Experience in a senior management-facing role, with a track record of delivering process improvement in a complex, matrixed environment, managing multiple International and cross-functional stakeholders
- Demonstrated tenacity, comfortable with ambiguity
- Experience within the direct-to-consumer streaming industry or media industry
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously under deadline, thrive in a high energy, fast-paced environment, and plan proactively to meet project needs
- 4+ years of management consulting, business operations and programme/project management experience in a large corporate environment
Qualification & Experience:
- Experience working with technology and marketing teams to drive cross-functional results and Go-To-Market activities
- A focus on collaborating and building consensus to achieve outstanding results, and the ability to build exceptional internal relationships and influence a wide range of audiences
- Technical literacy and aptitude to apply qualitative and quantitative data in decision-making
- Ability to understand and comfortably interpret business and technology issues, and translate these into clear, actionable initiatives
- Deep affinity with Disney content, brands, and IP and familiarity with the content production and distribution process
- Understanding of program management processes and methodologies for governance and tracking including one or more recognised current project management certifications (IAMP, PMP, MPM, CSM, BCS etc.)
