Job Description:

Provide essential support to the Marketplace Manager in the management of Marketplace accounts, their performance and their relationships working to maximize potential. Lead internal communication on the department championing the Marketplace business model across the wider business

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage account portals and dashboards. Use partner portals and dashboards to monitor discoverability levers, make recommendations and manage communication
  • Proactively contribute to the departmental operating procedures and maintain flexibility to adapt and evolve these as the business model changes. Monitor and potentialise departmental KPI’s including NOS, Buy Box, Conversion and performance vs SD
  • As required, contribute to the sales, stock and margin planning for each individual Marketplace account, feeding into GPC planning teams
  • With the Marketplace Manager, manage item pricing, full price, promotions, mark-downs and pricing to win listings and control the buy box in conjunction with GPC
  • Manage departmental tools including planning and handover files and the Product Tracker. Manage product uploads and proactively check the Marketplace portals
  • Utilise analytics and data to make recommendations to the Marketplace Manager to maximise the accounts performance
  • As defined by the Marketplace Manager, trade each Marketplace account to maximise the opportunity and return – utilise partner optimisation and discoverability tools
  • Work with GPC teams to maximise trading opportunities for Marketplace accounts keeping on track of all GPC trading and making suggestions back to Marketplace Manager per Marketplace account

Job Requirements:

  • Exceptional level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Exceptional planning and organisation skills
  • Computer literate in MS office package with advanced Excel skills
  • Strong influencing skills with the ability to achieve buy-in at all levels
  • Proven ability building effective business relationships
  • Highly numerate
  • Analytical approach

Qualification & Experience:

  • Experience in analytics, desirable
  • Understanding of retail merchandising and experience within a retail head office environment essential
  • Proven experience as an Assistant Merchandiser with some e-commerce experience, desirable
  • Demonstrable experience of working in teams and building effective relationships
  • Experience of supporting and overseeing the performance of other team members, beneficial
