Job Description:
- Univision is seeking a talented Video Production Lead based in Miami, FL. The role is the creative force behind the creation of visual content for the digital division of Univision’s 16 local affiliate markets, and will also work with other multimedia producers, editors and clippers based in Mexico and Colombia and the 16 local affiliate markets to optimize the editorial voice and process for the unit.
- The successful candidate will explore and produce stories in each local market pertaining to weather, politics and community issues in order to reach the monthly and yearly video views goals. This individual must be a strategic and creative thinker, a self-starter, and a collaborator willing to learn and share ideas.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee the production and execution of livestreams through our social media platforms (IG, FB, TW, YT) for all 16 local markets
- Quality control for the clipping from the Mexico and Colombia bureaus
- Lead the video production and post-production group’s efforts regarding shared network resources, workstation standards, software updates, archiving and storage
- Identify problem areas quickly and pose creative solutions for all 16 local markets
- Supervise and approve production and post-production budgets and schedules for all 16 local markets
- Oversee the post-production archive and content library
- Oversee and optimize the delivery pipeline of videos, develop and implement workflows to maximize the production and publication of videos (daily or short-form stories) for all 16 local markets
- Create a style guide that will adhere to the standards of each of the 16 affiliate markets
- Manage video production and post-production efforts for on-time delivery and on-budget execution of project for all 16 local markets
Job Requirements:
- Strong written and verbal communication is highly encouraged, attention to detail, the ability to thrive in an ever changing work environment and an aptitude for making quick, quality decisions.
- All video producers need to have mastered the skills of operating a camera and using video editing software such as Final Cut Pro X, Adobe Premiere Pro, and Adobe After Effects.
- Audio skills in using small format mixers, compression, EQ, audio recording techniques for studio and field, multi-form and waveform editing.
- Video producers need to possess technical skills in video, audio and post-production. Video skills includes familiarity with professional cameras (Canon C-100 or Sony FS-5), various HD and
- SD formats, pre-production, planning, writing, and editing.
- Post-production entails digital video editing, still and motion graphics design, and video compression for TV, web and social.
Qualification & Experience:
- Familiarity with the dynamics of working in an integrated newsroom
- At least 3 years of covering breaking news
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
- Must be able to work weekdays and weekends according to events agenda.
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications or video production related experience
