Job Responsibilities:

The District Director oversees and manages the day-to-day operations, efficient adjudication of all applications and petitions for immigration benefits, and administrative investigations within their designated geographic area. The incumbent independently manages all service related program activities and operations for the USCIS District Office and multiple Field Offices within jurisdictions that encompass large metropolitan areas (such as Miami, New York City, Los Angeles); and/or are spread across large geographically dispersed areas crossing multiple states.

Job Requirements:

  • First time Senior Executive Service (SES) appointees are subject to a one-year probationary period
  • Full COVID vaccination as required by Executive Order 14043.
  • You must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. National to apply for this position
  • Obtain/Maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance
  • If documents exceed page limits, excess pages will not be considered
  • Drug Testing Required
  • Political appointees may require OPM approval prior to on-boarding
