Job Description:
This position is located on a Forest Service unit. Serve as a Real Property Leasing Officer (RPLO) for a Regional Office providing support for leasing of property, including property and lease contract preparation and administration. The position must maintain a Real Property Leasing Officer (RPLO) warrant, including meeting all USDA requirements for obtaining a warrant.
Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate files, reports, database updates to meet program/customer needs.
- Draft documents for review by other specialists.
- Assist in supporting programs or teams by performing day-to day research or other administrative type duties.
- Acquire leasehold interests in commercial real estate for the agency requiring the development of general space requirements and agency specific needs.
- Prepare draft documents for other specialists utilizing system resources, contract files, and existing policy and regulation.
- Compile research data from various databases for upward reporting, presentations, and responding to inquiries.
- Assist in managing the program portfolio to meet client needs and routine problems.
Job Requirements:
- Subject to satisfactory adjudication of background investigation and/or fingerprint check.
- Males born after 12/31/1959 must be Selective Service registered or exempt.

- Successful completion of one year probationary period, unless previously served.
Qualification & Experience:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-5 grade level. Specialized experience is a majority of the following: answering routine realty related inquiries; assisting in acquiring lease agreements or similar contracts; maintaining a file database/system; using a variety of office automation equipment (e.g. computer, copier, printer, fax machine, etc) and software (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite).
