Univision Careers – Senior Vice President

Job Description:

  • UCI’ Uforia is looking for a highly motivated, forward-thinking sales leader to lead the Audio Sales and Client Solutions function, focusing on our audio properties and respective digital extensions across Local Media. The audio sales leader can be located in any of the top 6 US Hispanic DMAs. The SVP of Uforia Audio Sales and Client Solutions, Local Media, will report to the President of Radio.
  • This position will require a resourceful and hands-on leader who can work effectively with regional VPs, market general managers, cross-functional senior executives as well as sales leaders both inside and outside of Local Media to ensure significant business development, coordination of sales efforts as well as agency/client penetration with a laser focus on revenue generation.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Leading the audio sales, client solutions, and sales support functions within the audio group in Local Media, focusing on cross-platform audio sales and client solutions for Univision’s Uforia portfolio of O&O stations, radio network, experiential, and multi-format digital extensions
  • Ensuring the sales teams’ proper usage of sales systems and platforms such as Matrix and Wide Orbit and allow for the generation of data and insights that are, in turn, utilized to improve sales execution and results.
  • Providing audio sales leadership and building our Local audio sales team’s sales capability across all audio markets
  • Establishing pricing strategies that result in greater revenue generation across all revenue channels (including disciplined execution around rate cards, priority codes, AURs, capacity management, and customized client solutions)
  • Evaluating and setting inventory management strategies and practices that maximize yield and optimize revenue generation
  • Developing an overarching sales strategy to maximize audio-centric revenue for our Local Media Division, including evaluating and adjusting existing short and long-term strategies, plans and tactics to meet changing client requirements
  • Collaboratively establishing revenue goals comprised of business development and increasing the value capture of existing clients across local audio, national audio, network audio, digital extensions, and experiential solutions
  • Work with local media leadership to develop and implement an advanced targeting and marketing solutions sales strategy

Job Requirements:

  • Prior experience in motivating, supervising staff
  • Strong business and financial acumen
  • Understands the Hispanic community and regional cultural nuances
  • Prior experience in Spanish language broadcasting
  • Strong understanding of linear and digital sales KPI’s and processes
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong systems knowledge and experience

Qualification & Experience:

  • A minimum of ten years of experience in audio media sales
  • BA/BS in business, economics, broadcast journalism or equivalent
  • MBA
