Under Armour Application – Asset Protection Specialist

Job Description:

The Asset Protection Specialist is responsible for protecting the assets and teammates of Under Armour at the Portland office.

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintain all aspects of physical security, key, and access control
• Investigate shipment discrepancies from PDX
• Interface and educate PDX employees on Asset Protection, shrinkage, and impact on the business
• Develop proactive patrol and surveillance routines focused on prevention
• Maintain camera system and ensure all critical areas are monitored
• Development and implementation of detailed standard operating procedures for contract guards to ensure physical security, access control, shipment accuracy, etc.
• Development and implementation of policies and procedures focused on maximizing physical security, access control, safety, emergency response, investigations, and minimizing theft and fraud
• Monitor and secure the flow of visitors, employees, applicants, contractors, etc. inside of the PDX
• Respond and quickly resolve crisis situations. Assist in training of management team on appropriate crisis response procedures
• Cultivate partnerships with local law enforcement, first responders, 3rd party vendors.

• Demonstrated skill to inspire and motivate others to perform well
• Ability to work independently
• Excellent presentation skills and ability to handle multiple projects
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures; ability to apply concepts of basic math
• Must possess good communication, organizational, time management, and personal skills
• Ability to influence leadership on best practices for physical security, minimizing loss due to theft, and proactively educate teams on trends related to shortage
• Proven experience in conducting internal investigations and certification on interviewing techniques is preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• State Certified Security Officer (Armed or Unarmed)
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

Qualification & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree and/or up to three (3) years of experience related to distribution or retail asset protection, or law enforcement
