Job Description:

As part of the Transformation Office, the Senior Manager, Program Management and Value Delivery is part of the strategic initiative portfolio management (PfMGT) team and is responsible for embedding our project management governance across global, cross-functional programs and projects, driving value delivery in strategy execution as well running some of our special projects. This role will allow you to hone- in on your influencing skills in a matrix environment and achieve value for the brand through others as well as an individual contributor.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work with Business Unit leadership to develop strategic initiative roadmaps, projects, and change plans
  • In collaboration with senior management, define how the scope, goals, and deliverables of projects will support UA’s strategic priorities
  • Effectively manage project team’s time and allocate resources to ensure deliverables are completed; where required, collaborate with the functional teams to estimate, and acquire required resources
  • Effectively communicate and manage project expectations to project managers, owners, sponsors, team members, and other stakeholders in a clear and concise fashion
  • Assess and approve/disapprove the needs for additional resources or consultants and source them as necessary
  • Define project success criteria, share, and obtain buy-in from the involved parties throughout the project lifecycle
  • Communicate project management standards and techniques to the project team, change management, and other teammates involved in project success
  • Review budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary
  • Partner and support the project managers in their development of the project plans that are aligned and following UA’s PfMGT governance
  • Develop best practices, techniques, and tools for project planning, execution, project management, ongoing milestone/deliverable tracking, communication, and key performance metrics

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to facilitate relations amongst internal and external stakeholder groups
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and focus on outcomes and impact in a high-pressure environment
  • Proficient in project management techniques and tools (e.g., Smartsheet, etc.)
  • Ability to shift priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential
  • Adept at conducting research into project-related issues and products
  • Experience in developing and deploying project best practices, policies, procedures, and processes across a global organization

Qualification & Experience:

  • PMP certification in good standing highly recommended
  • 8-10+ years of work experience in a fast-paced environment, with 5-7 years in an enterprise portfolio and/or large program management capacity, including all aspects of integrated plan development, resourcing and interdependency management, and successful execution
  • S. required in Business Administration
