UBS Careers – Senior IT Software Engineer

Job Description:

Our crew is responsible for building the strategic Advisory toolset within UBS on the One Investment Platform (1IP), and you would join a Pod in Zürich which is responsible for developing a Java/Angular based application which provides portfolio and instrument advice, regulatory reporting and trading in both the intranet (internal Advisory tools) and the internet (Wealth Management Online). It is a very demanding, fast-paced, and exciting environment.

Qualification & Experience:

• experience with building CI/CD pipelines (eg Ansible,GitLab) is a plus
• minimum 5+ years hands-on application development experience using Java, Spring, JPA/Hibernate and Maven preferably in the finance sector
• experience providing technical leadership and mentoring software engineers
• Bachelor’s/master’s degree or equivalent with a focus in software engineering
• experience designing and implementing web service and application programming interfaces (APIs)
• experience with microservice architecture ideally with Spring Boot
• experience with modern web technologies eg Angular, web components
• excellent team and communication skills
