Six Flags Jobs – Apprentice Plumber

Job Description:

Assist with plumbing installation, repair, and maintenance for Six Flags Over Texas- including infrastructure, facilities, and new construction.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist with care and maintenance of all wet and dry pipe automatic fire sprinkler systems in accordance with local codes NFPA 13 and NFPA 25
• Locating and marking positions of pipe and connections
• Complete Maximo work orders to Plumbing Department as they come in
• Maintain inventory and equipment on a daily basis
• Cutting, threading and bending pipe composed of iron, steel, brass, clay, and plastic using hand and power tools
• Assisting with assembling, installing, and repairing pipes, fittings and fixtures of heating, water and drainage systems, according to specifications and plumbing codes
• Maintain positive interaction with other employees and guests
• Cutting openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and fittings

Job Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 yrs. old with high school diploma or equivalent
• Thorough working knowledge of dispensing (liquid) units and fire systems
• Working knowledge of the plumbing code and industry trends
• Current Apprentice Plumbing License preferred

Qualification & Experience:

• Must be able to work a varied schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as assigned
• Ability to effectively communicate with all departments to coordinate service requests and oversee various projects
• Highly motivated, self-starter, and ability to work well unsupervised
• Must be able to stoop, bend, squat, and kneel repeatedly
• Must have a proficiency in Microsoft applications including outlook, excel, and word for planning, communications, troubleshooting, and tracking
• Must have a valid driver’s license with a clear driving record
