Job Description:

Join the Six Flags Great Adventure team as a Gate Guard. Greet guests with a smile and a wave. Primary responsibilities include: ensuring animals stay in their respective zones and ensuring safety of all guests and animals.

Job Responsibilities:

• Keep eyes on animals in your area and make sure they don’t go out of bounds. Know when to close your gate and to call a warden for assistance.
• Report any animal or area issues to the warden.
• Effectively communicate on a radio. Clear and concise.
• Report to work on time.
• Cooperate with all team members and management.
• Engage guests as they pass through your gate.
• Assist guests with questions or issues that arise. Call the warden in your section for help.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area.
• Enforce all Wild Safari Drive Thru rules and protocols.

Job Requirements:

• Physically able to close large, heavy gates
• Must be extremely safety conscious.
• Must have the ability to work close to animals.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Outgoing and friendly.

Qualification & Experience:

• Able to communicate effectively in English.
• Available to work flexible hours like nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions: cold, heat, rain, wind etc.
• Able to stand or sit for long periods of time.
