Job Description:

The IS Supervisor role is to oversee the daily operational functions of the Information Systems Department for the assigned Six Flags properties while being the Point of Contact for new system implementations and IS initiatives. The position is to execute and support on-going corporate directives as well as lead any Information Systems team members and/or site-specific third-party consultants to maintain operations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure through established tools and processes that Six Flags uses across its information systems infrastructure is properly maintained and operational at all times
  • Serve as on-site Leadership and Corporate IS liaison in planning, executing, coordinating, and verification of software and hardware installation, implementation, testing, and upgrades, to ensure quality of systems operating and performance
  • Provide software and hardware support for on-site operational and administrative systems, custom or 3rd party software, and Corporate supported business systems
  • Corp liaison and onsite leadership for new system implementation
  • Provide strict adherence to corporate security policies and procedures
  • Partner with the Corporate IS Team to provide and coordinate on-site and off-site training for existing and new software and hardware
  • Supervise, develop, and lead the Information Services department staff
  • Become proficient in the support and maintenance of all processing platforms, architectures, and systems used by Six Flags
  • Monitor Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) performance

Job Requirements:

  • Experience with Point-of-Sale Systems (POS) in a support capacity, including payment terminals and bar code scanners
  • Knowledge of network, fiber and audio cable infrastructure
  • Expertise in supporting end-user technology including Microsoft O365
  • High degree of urgency and customer service focus

Qualification & Experience:

  • Ability to manage multiple projects within deadlines
  • Excellent written and oral communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of audio systems such as: Media Matrix, Cobra Net, ENCO or related hardware/software is preferred
  • Minimum 2 – 3 years’ experience in systems engineering, systems support, show audio or in a technology-related industry (theme park experience preferred)
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills
  • Experience with fast paced businesses (retail, restaurants) preferred
