Six Flags Application – Lead Ride Controls

Job Description:

Supervise the erection, repair and troubleshooting of rides and attractions following Manufacture and Engineering specifications to insure their safe and efficient operation.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance on rides, computerized ride control systems, electrical utilities and equipment.
• Monitor department team member voice survey feedback and assist in the development of initiatives to address areas of needed improvement.
• Perform periodic performance appraisals of team members.
• Ensure that manufacturer’s specifications, procedures, and State Regulations are complied with and documented.
• Maintain OSHA Safety Standards and other policies and procedures of Six Flags.
• Perform daily inspections, maintenance, and repair of rides and attractions computerized ride control systems, electrical utilities and equipment in the park and notify management and or Engineering of any hazards, defects, and ride or guest related problems that may endanger the guest,
• staff and the general public.

Job Requirements:

• Thorough understanding of Allen Bradley PLC’s, Allen Bradley and ABB AC/DC motor drives, and other electrical equipment theory and operation.
• Must have 3-5 years of related experience and be able to work well in team environment.
• Must possess strong safety sensitivity & ability to work with many different types of devices.

Qualification & Experience:

• Ability to troubleshoot clearly, calmly and safely in the presence of guests, co-workers, and park management in a fast-paced environment.
• Will be required to work various shifts as project and park needs dictate, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Advanced knowledge of electrical test equipment (i.e. mega/micro ohm meter, volt meter, current meter, and other various pieces of test equipment. Must have tools and equipment to perform required duties and skills as defined above.
• Valid driver’s license and be able to operate vehicles (including but not limited to forklifts, golf carts, cars, trucks)
