Job Description:
The Ecommerce Site Merchandise Assistant coordinates responsibilities and administrative activities related to the merchandising and site experience of Party City’s digital properties, with the goal of meeting/exceeding sales and margin goals through customer retention, conversion, and average order value. The Ecommerce Site Merchandise Assistant will provide general support to the Site Merchandise Manager by executing merchandising strategies (data analysis, data entry, exception reporting, etc.) The Merchandise Assistant will frequently communicate with members of the category and site team as well as with vendors, distribution centers, and cross functional partners.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage attribution of SKUs and complete daily uploads of product additions and changes; communicating with related partners
- Perform daily site audits to ensure accuracy of merchandising, product and category information and attributes, promotions and banners
- Monitor, log and track site bugs, follow up on enhancements with IT team for resolution.
- Communicate and partner with vendors, Distribution Center and Customer care team
- Support the Site Merchandise Manager and Creative, Site Search and SEO teams to execute the visual merchandising strategy to create the best customer experience, optimize engagement, and increase conversion
- Execute all content on the site and micro-sites, including but not limited to the Homepage, Gateways, Sales, and Promotions,
- Execute project plans according to the production calendar and communicate any updates/risks to deadlines to Site Merchandise Manager
- Execute merchandising strategies for site content, new navigation, assortment layout and general website merchandising, to enhance upcoming assortments and expose trends
- Partner with Category Management team to review the production calendar and timing of new programs.
- Execute cross sell strategy and sorting rules for best merchandising flow
- Complete required Exception Reporting; identifying issues updating key partners and teams and implementing corrections and solutions per direction
- Monitor the competition and technology landscape, recommending best in class features in areas of navigation, product setup, cross-sells, internal search, etc.
- Collaborate with Site Merchandise Manager/team on executing business driving opportunities and ensuring optimal product placement
- Serves as subject matter expert in Salesforce Commerce Cloud and technology platforms that connect and power our website (i.e. Order Management, POS, etc.)
- Implement outcomes from final asset review to ensure accuracy of imagery, messaging, and linking
- Retrieve data from reporting to support the analysis of customer/user metrics including conversion, bounce rate, unsuccessful searches, exit/entry, etc. Complete action items based on findings and recommendations to improve performance and order completion
Job Requirements:
- Strong leadership and experience driving results and meeting deadlines
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to adapt to change quickly with a strong sense of urgency
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
- Highly organized with a strong attention to detail
- Experience with content management systems a plus
Qualification & Experience:
- 1 – 2 years of merchandising experience recommended; preferably with a large organization in a similar ecommerce role
- Strong comprehensive understanding of PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook required
- Adapt and work effectively with a variety of situations, individuals or groups
- Display a positive attitude, professional manner and a willingness to be a team player and assist co-workers at all levels
- Demonstrated effectiveness with data management and administration, organization and decision making
