Siemens Vacancies – Operational Excellence Manager

Job Description:

Siemens Mobility are looking for an Operational Excellence Manager with outstanding leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills. This role sits within the leadership team of the Project Management Office in our Rolling Stock/Customer Services business. You and your team will enable and support the organisation in delivering continuous improvement of our operational activities.

Job Responsibilities:

• Support our sales process sharing best practice and lean methods
• Manage, lead and develop the Operational Excellence team ensuring clear common goals aligned to the needs of the broader organisation and growth of our talented team members
• Develop a deployment pipeline for operational excellence activities utilising existing planning tools to integrate improvements within our master activity plan
• Embody and encourage a continuous improvement and operational excellence mindset
• Support ad hoc improvement projects including support for Business Excellence, maintenance and overhaul/modification project activities
• Provide clear deployment plans for all improvement projects taking into account employee engagement, development, training requirements and handover activities
• Facilitate lessons learned and project kick-off workshops
• Development of Standard Operating Procedures with our maintenance teams
• Work closely with maintenance teams, senior leadership and support functions to identify, develop and deploy operational excellence and productivity improvements throughout the Customer Services organisation
• Preparation of regular status reporting clearly communicating progress of operational excellence activities

Job Requirements:

• Operational Excellence, Lean Six Sigma or related qualification (preferable)
• Excellent communication skills written and oral (essential)
• Educated to post graduate level (preferable)

Qualification & Experience:

• Experience of project planning (preferable)
• Experience delivering operational excellence and productivity improvements (essential)
• Experience working in manufacturing or maintenance organisation (essential)
• Experience in development of and engagement with IT systems (preferable)
