Job Description: While providing operational excellence leadership to the Merchandise department, the Director of Merchandise enthusiastically represents SeaWorld by displaying a positive attitude, high level of energy, and commitment to quality throughout all aspects of the job. This role is responsible for ensuring the Merchandise department is meeting and exceeding both guest expectations and financial goals. Job Responsibilities: Partner with product activation manger to leverage trends and product strategies across all stores Foster team member development through training that maximizes short- and long-term department success Leverage and create department financial metrics Oversee cost management and goals, including department labor and operation expenses Ensure product strategy is supported and milestones are obtained Lead and inspire Merchandise concepts and operations strategies/tactics to ensure best-in-class operations Drive a sales focused department through training and auditing Partner with cross functional teams to ensure park and corporate initiatives are successfully executed Ensure adherence to policies and procedures of the Merchandise department Ensure the execution of the strategic plan for the merchandise department Develop and execute creative operational initiatives that impact the business short- and long-term Drive continuous improvement in guest service, team member engagement, efficiency, and financial growth Job Requirements: Ability influence others on required direction to maximize revenue Exceptional communication, interpersonal, analytical, critical thinking and presentation skills Seven years of leadership experience across multiple business units Related Bachelor’s degree Ability to maintain composure in stressful situation while multi-tasking and making quick decisions Qualification & Experience: Knowledge of Parkware, MMS, ATRB, Kronos, and Scheduler systems Proven success increasing sales and profitability Previous theme park or regional retail experience Experience within a high-volume retail environment Job Details: Company: SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment Vacancy Type: Full Time Job Location: San Diego, CA, US Application Deadline: N/A Apply Here careersvite.com
