Job Description:

The Pathology Fellow performs a variety of assigned pathology activities, while working toward a graduate degree. The fellowship offers unique opportunities for development of diagnostic skills in anatomic and clinical pathology of nondomestic species. Fellows participate in the necropsy, biopsy, and cytology services under the supervision and instruction of five ACVP-certified pathologists.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Keeps abreast of research and published literature
  • Conducts and oversees gross necropsy examinations and tissue sample collections
  • Prepares reports and presents findings to clinical veterinarians
  • Presents documentation in the form of an external presentation or publication
  • Interprets clinical cytology specimens and laboratory analysis findings

Job Requirements:

  • At least two years of formal Residency in veterinary pathology from a qualifying program (ACVP board eligibility).
  • Work with teams and effectively with others in a diverse environment
  • Communicate effectively (verbal and written)

Qualification & Experience:

  • Use word processing and database systems
  • D.V.M or equivalent degree
  • Eligibility or certification by the American College of Veterinary Pathologists
  • Necropsy examinations and tissue sample collections
  • Anatomic pathology through gross and microscopic examination
