Product Designer – Petsmart Jobs

Job Description:

Our Product Development group focuses on delivering customer-centric innovations that are available only at PetSmart. This allows us to create products and solutions that our pet parents are asking for that they can’t find anywhere else. This team partners with Merchandising, Brand Management, Product Design & Integrity, and Global Sourcing to bring the product from vision to reality.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and grow your skills with the support of a caring manager and dedicated mentor.
• Leave your “paw” print with a project designed to make a true impact on the business.
• Experience the Product Design function of the leading pet specialty retailer firsthand as you work with a team of designers to conceptualize and create products ranging from leashes to toys, and much more!
• Present your recommendations and innovative ideas to PetSmart leaders.

Job Requirements:

• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign on a Mac platform is required.
• Previous retail industry experience is always a plus!
• Junior status pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Industrial Design, Textile Design, or other related discipline.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and knowledge in retail market trends.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
• Must be able to manage multiple projects and deadlines at once.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Must be able to produce work in a collaborative, team environment.
• Portfolio of work samples will be required (please submit link in resume).
