Job Description:
The Content Planning & Analysis group is looking for the Financial Planning & Analysis lead for India. This role will be a critical and integrated business partner to the India content team and be responsible for financial planning and analytics for the company’s rapidly expanding local programming initiatives. This role will also have direct reports. This position will reside within the company’s Mumbai office and report to the Financial Planning & Analysis lead for APAC.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work with senior leadership within the content organization to translate strategic initiatives into multi-year roadmap with complete cost and capital requirements.
- Maintain a schedule of estimated future contractual commitments for accurate disclosure in financial statements and proper capital planning.
- Prepare guidance and financial update materials for Content leads and Corporate FP&A team to identify potential shortfalls or surpluses.
- Forecast programming flow and analytics to plan for long-term programming health of licensing business.
- Comfort with synthesizing large datasets to consumable executive summaries for stakeholders.
- Drive improvements to current financial reporting and tooling resources for the department.
- Develop KPIs, metrics and dashboards to understand current and future programming mix.
- Support near-term and long-term P&L and Cash forecasts for the Content budget
- Support headcount planning for the India Business
- Prepare dynamic scenario analysis to facilitate discussion when faced with economic trade-offs.
Job Requirements:
- Working knowledge of related accounting policies is preferred
- Experience in conducting quantitative and qualitative financial analysis and delivering actionable recommendations based on the analysis
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Prior experience working with or reporting analysis
- Proficiency in Excel & financial modeling
Qualification & Experience:
- Financial systems development experience a plus
- Experience in leading teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must have proficiency working with systems and automated reporting tools (i.e., Hyperion, SAP, Workday financials, etc.)
- Extensive experience conducting quantitative and qualitative financial analysis
- 10+ years of relevant experience
- Prior experience in Media / Entertainment Financial Planning & Analysis is preferred
- Proficiency with Excel and financial modeling
