Job Description:

The PBX Operator provides prompt, courteous, and efficient handling of all incoming calls/texts and assistance for outgoing calls which transpire through PBX while maintaining a positive and professional image. In addition, the Telephone Operator plays an integral part in assisting with emergencies (medical, fire, power/system failure) by contacting the designated personnel for immediate assistance.

Job Responsibilities:

• Input and access data in Opera, Open Table, and Alice.
• Assists with emergencies (medical, fire, power/system failure) by contacting the designated personnel for immediate assistance
• Anticipates guests needs while providing recommendations of the hotel and local attractions
• Assists guests with changes in their room or restaurant reservation
• Assists with guests requests for maintenance, housekeeping, Food & Beverage
• Handles incoming/outgoing calls in an attentive, courteous and efficient manner, according to the hotel’s standard operating procedures
• Maintains discretion and confidentiality of all calls, guest room and fax numbers
• Provides clear and concise communication while assisting guests with their questions or needs
• Communicates with housekeeping regarding room availability and guest requests
• Responsible for clear and accurate radio communications with departments of the hotel

Job Requirements:

• Experience in a call center environment preferred
• Experience using and navigating various computer systems
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule to include weekends & holidays
• Minimum of one-year hospitality experience in customer service preferred

• Strong verbal and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Commitment to exceptional guest service
• Works well independently or as part of a team
• Must possess strong multitasking skills
• Adheres to the policies and procedures of LEGOLAND California
• Working knowledge of Opera PMS system preferred.
