Job Description:
The Merchandise Planner will provide strong overall support for the Global Live Events Merchandise team. The Merchandise Planner will be a pivotal member of this close-knit team, supporting the oversight.
Job Responsibilities:
- Attend select events to assist on-site with merchandise setup, including loading and un-loading crates, grid wall set ups and product placement.
- Work with Manager to analyze merchandise sales and trends. Coordinate inventory considerations with forecasting models and communicate gaps
- Support product development by working closely with creative team and outside vendors to develop/design product. Includes- managing schedules, costs, reviewing concepts, designs and pre-production samples
- Provide additional Merchandising support including archiving product samples, assisting with creative briefs, and tracking merchandising terms, payments, etc.
- Take a forward-thinking approach to improve the current business. Recommend initiatives, providing cost/benefit analysis and an estimated return on investment
- Handle administrative tasks such as PO creation, invoice tracking and reconciliation for the North America business.
- Provide support of Day Out with Thomas, Thomas Land and Thomas Town merchandise orders, occasionally working on additional brands, events and attractions, as needed.
- Manage external vendor relationships to manage product re-orders are, demonstrate ownership for tracking and timely delivery to the warehouse.
- Ensure order is fulfilled and delivered on time, addressing any issues prior to event start and placing additional orders for outstanding items.

Qualification & Experience:
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Up to 30% travel
- Previous retail, sales or customer service experience a plus
- BS Degree or Equivalent
- 2-4 years of professional experience
- Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel
