Job Description:
The Supervisor of Digital Content is a combined working and leadership role. This role is accountable for leading, directing and developing a team of Digital Content Specialists who work cross functionally to drive customer loyalty, digital conversion, and system efficiencies. In this role the individual will also be accountable to help drive the strategy, acquisition and usage of digital content at Meijer. This role works directly with merchandising, marketing, operations, ITS, ecommerce, and vendor partners.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee the communication with content data source teams (internal and external) to ensure they understand the content requirements, have the proper training, and are following the best practices in providing digital content
- Accountable for the development of content strategies that drive online sales, move product, and build customer loyalty
- Responsible for the overall leadership of the Digital Content Specialists, including hiring, training, managing performance and overall development
- Partner with marketing, digital, and compliance teams to capture customer content needs, standards, and to ensure that such data is managed in alignment with the Customer First Privacy policies
- Define and analyze Key Performance Indicators to monitor the overall health of the digital data
- Partner with merchandising, e-commerce, and compliance teams to capture data content needs, standards, and enhanced requirements for product data
- Partner with Product Flow, Merchandising, Supply Chain, Finance and Operations to capture data content needs, and enhanced requirements for their operational data
- Accountable for overall coverage, completeness, and accuracy of digital content made available for Product, Customer, and Vendor
- Own the relationships with data sources and partners to resolve issues and implement continous improvement initiatives required to maintain the highest level of digital content – in aligment with internal partner needs
- Oversee the communication with teams which consume digital content to ensure they understand all available data, and the best practices to drive the most value from the digital content
Job Requirements:
- Proficient in MicroStrategy (or equivalent) and web analytic tools
- Basic understanding of SEO/SEM
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills
- Understanding category product lines & core customer purchase behavior, especially related to online/digital
- Knowledge of the Retail industry and Web Retailing / eCommerce
- Ability to collaborate with, and present to internal and external partners
- Analytical skills, with reporting and retail math capabilities
- Proactive and action oriented
Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent retail experience
- 3-7 years of merchandising, ecommerce, or retail experience
