Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate, customer experience driven merchandise manager to assist in maintaining operational excellence in our retail store location in Houston, Tx (The Galleria). Our ideal candidate is passionate about toys and emerging trends for kids and kids at heart. S/he has an entrepreneurial spirit and is passionate about creating world-class retail experiences. This position reports to the Store General Manager.

We are focused on user experience—both for our guests and our product makers. Thus we are looking for a supervisor who has an unrelenting desire to make sure every guest has a seamless and satisfying experience with products, our displays, and team members.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the highest level of customer service to ensure that guests are consistently provided with the Toys R Us experience
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the store
  • Ensure training and product knowledge standards for retail team members are met, including product knowledge & ability to provide superior demo of products to guests
  • Maintaining operational excellence within store environment, leading by example & consistently offering feedback to team members
  • Work closely with store GM to maintain product merchandising strategy

Job Requirements:

  • 2+ years experience leading teams in a retail environment
  • Previous experience in toys, technology and retail experience mode a plus

Qualification & Experience:

  • Previous experience in product merchandising and events marketing is preferred
  • Assist in planning and execution of events and in-store promotions
  • Manage & maintain inventory of all products in store on daily basis, including but not limited to scheduled inventory counts, returns and other inventory activities
