Job Description:
The Manager, Medical Education is responsible for leading the Medical Education team in building and facilitating educational programs as well as raising the level of engagement of our consultants and future thought leaders.
Educates and demonstrates the benefits of key products to clinical professors, teaching-hospital faculty, residents, and students. Provides medical education information to internal/external health sources such as the sales force and outside health professions, Coordinates continuing education programs for physicians. Responds to inquiries to establish and/or further the knowledge and understanding of marketed products and related topics. This is a management position that contributes and achieves results through others. Job requires comprehensive understanding of the concepts and principles in the Medical Education discipline. The requirement for a broader knowledge implies the need to understand other concepts and principles in context in order to resolve issues that have an impact beyond the area.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop annual Medical Education calendar for Joint Replacement.
- Manage the budget and consultant costs for national Medical Education programs and ensure they are within allocations.
- Create and implement educational opportunities and programs to ensure HCPs are well trained on applicable Stryker products.
- Collaborate with the marketing leadership teams to develop the education strategy and tactics based on the annual marketing plan.
- Assign roles and responsibilities within the national team to implement the Medical Education strategy and tactics.
- Develop educational tools and content needed for HCP training.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with the Consultant Management, Compliance and Legal teams.
- Maintain requirements and best practices for surgeon training on the Mako System.
- Execute national resident and fellowship educational programs.
- Partner with other Stryker divisions and international colleagues to identify, collaborate, and execute ongoing educational opportunities.
- Ensure compliance in all educational programs and HCP interactions.
- Work with regional team and international counterparts to ensure consistency of training across markets.

Qualification & Experience:
- Demonstrated organization skills, detail orientation, and the ability to prioritize and multi task effectively; skills are demonstrated while meeting/exceeding quality standards and deadlines.
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing, sales and relevant fields or degree equivalency.
- 8+ years of work experience required. Prefer 5+ years in medical device sales and/or marketing with previous experience in medical education design and delivery as well as surgical technique and surgical training for physicians.
- Demonstrated experience in leading a diverse team of education experts.
