Mattel’s Web Strategy team is seeking a Manager, Ecommerce Merchandising and Content Strategy to join their team. The Ecommerce Web Strategy team exists to create direct-to-consumer content and conversations to drive product awareness along with brand affinity and advocacy in order to extend shopper lifetime value and conversion. The Web Strategy team is where catalog meets content on the Mattel owned-channels providing premium brand content, innovative and effective new shopping tools and best-in-class product detail pages. The Ecommerce Web Strategist serves as the epicenter between web, eCommerce, IT and brand, driving expectations for the site experience and managing them through to completion and efficacy.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage the complete web presence (eCommerce catalog, parent-targeted content and child engagement sites) for a specified brand or set of brands
  • Lead development, user journey, site navigation, merchandising and product catalog for brand site(s)
  • Develop and manage site content calendars in conjunction with key stakeholders (Global Brand Teams, Commercial Team, Web Production, CRM, etc.) and manage project to success
  • Optimize web content according to modern best practices, including responsive/mobile design, SEO, and A/B or multivariate testing
  • Structure and report on content performance and analytics by marketing funnel stage and tactic that map back to business goals and / or identify areas of opportunity

Job Requirements:

  • Manage production team, external agencies and contractors to deliver on project needs and goals within budget and timeline
  • Clearly communicate both business needs & technical requirements across internal and external teams to garner understanding, alignment and direction
  • Quarterly competitive analysis of external landscape and new / trending web tactics and performance improvements

Qualification & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 8 years of experience (6 years with MBA) in one of the following- website strategy / management / content development, eCommerce marketing, conversion rate optimization, analytics, and/or project management.
  • Proven track record of driving measurable, continuous results
  • Strong thought leadership and experience in web strategy, content strategy and merchandising
  • Experience with web analytics (Google Analytics required)
  • Experience managing cross-functional team projects required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Web development familiarity
