Job Description:

The successful applicant will be responsible for assisting our existing Store Systems Team in providing advice and solutions on technical, functional and process related matters associated with Store IT systems. This is a role that allows the right candidate room for growth within a dedicated and dynamic team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Occasional out-of-hours work is required (due to upgrades & system support)
  • Testing, installation and support of new software / hardware versions released to the business
  • Contribution to the implementation of national and international projects
  • Active engagement and consultation with functional departments to ensure that new and existing systems meet business requirements
  • Identification of where improvements, time saving, and cost-effective changes can be made
  • Co-ordination of rollouts as part of project delivery
  • In depth analysis of system data to aid with resolution of support issues
  • Provision of 3rd level support and incident management using ServiceNow.
  • Creation and maintenance of documentation relating to Store Solutions

Job Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills and providing a great service
  • Prior knowledge of POS / SCO systems an advantage
  • Problem solving mind set and being able to qualify, investigate and attempts to resolve issues
  • An understanding of and keen interest in retail operations and processes
  • The ability to multi-task and handle conflicting deadlines
  • Able to work as part of a team and support team members where necessary
  • Identifying and correlating independent incidents to understand potential root causes
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Knowledge of the German language an advantage
  • Strong ownership of tasks with the ability to understand points of escalation

Qualification & Experience:

  • Previous experience working within a similar role
  • Experience with MS Office Application Suite
  • Experience of ServiceNow ticketing tool, software delivery using CA DSM, SQL, Oracle Databases and Windows 2012 Server O/S an advantage
