Job Description: The PBX Operator provides prompt, courteous, and efficient handling of all incoming calls/texts and assistance for outgoing calls which transpire through PBX while maintaining a positive and professional image. In addition, the Telephone Operator plays an integral part in assisting with emergencies (medical, fire, power/system failure) by contacting the designated personnel for immediate assistance. Job Responsibilities: Provides clear and concise communication while assisting guests with their questions or needs Anticipates guests needs while providing recommendations of the hotel and local attractions Assists with guests requests for maintenance, housekeeping, Food & Beverage Assists guests with changes in their room or restaurant reservation Responsible for clear and accurate radio communications with departments of the hotel Handles incoming/outgoing calls in an attentive, courteous and efficient manner, according to the hotel’s standard operating procedures Communicates with housekeeping regarding room availability and guest requests Input and access data in Opera, Open Table, and Alice. Job Requirements: Must be available to work a flexible schedule to include weekends & holidays Experience in a call center environment preferred Experience using and navigating various computer systems Strong verbal and interpersonal skills Minimum of one-year hospitality experience in customer service preferred Qualification & Experience: Strong attention to detail Must possess strong multitasking skills Commitment to exceptional guest service A positive attitude Works well independently or as part of a team Working knowledge of Opera PMS system preferred.
