Job Description:

LEGOLAND Florida Resort is a 150-acre interactive theme park dedicated to families with children between the ages of 2 and 12. With more than 50 rides, shows, and attractions, and uniquely themed LEGOLAND Water Park, LEGOLAND Hotel, and LEGOLAND Beach Resort inspired by the LEGO and DUPLO brands, LEGOLAND is geared towards family fun!

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the general upkeep of the waste compactors and a vertical strike down cardboard baler utilized during the assigned shift.
  • Support the waste and recycling operation. Enacts in the efficient collection, transportation, and disposal of all waste and recyclables generated onsite.
  • Responsible for the general upkeep of the waste and recycling containers throughout the resort from a quality perspective.
  • To ensure a safe and efficient collection, transportation, and disposal of waste and recyclables throughout the Resort.
  • Responsible for the daily operation and general upkeep of the truck route vehicle utilized during the assigned shift.
  • Ensure World Class Standards are delivered and exceeded involving customer service with other departments and guest interaction.
  • Follows department established policies and procedures at all times.
  • Ensure compliance with relative guidelines regarding the safe transportation, usage of job related equipment, and handling with the disposal of waste and recyclables.

Job Requirements:

  • Must be able to drive a truck (F150) with the use of a trailer designated on the truck route. (A CDL License is not required)
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age to facilitate the day to day responsibilities with the truck route.
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends to support park operations.
  • Must have a valid Florida Driver License & safe driving record for operation of Service Route Vehicles.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Must be able to work with little to no supervision
  • Will need to understand, be trained on, and operate 35 yard waste compactors and a vertical strike down cardboard baler.
  • Must be comfortable working with all types of waste and recyclables.
  • Must be able to appropriately prioritize assignments given and understand the importance of time management.
  • Must be a self-starter and able to stay on task
  • Must be able to follow verbal instructions and adapt to a rapid changing environment.
