Knotts Berry Farm Application – Kitchen Supervisor

Job Description:

Responsible for overseeing and directing the efforts of the kitchen complex, following all TGIF franchise brand standards. Supervises all employees throughout the shift.

Job Responsibilities:

• Adheres to and enforces all Cedar Fair and specific Park policies and procedures, including safety, attendance and EEO policies, and demonstrates commitment to customer service in all aspects of employment.
• Communicates deparment status to manager daily, including operational issues, employee and guest concerns, specialrequests, losses, and any other unusual situations.
• Manages employee performance, utlizing all tools including training, coaching, counseling and discipline.
• Controls quality and quantity of products through ordering, inventory, and spot inspections.
• Implements established safety, security and loss prevention policies and procedures.
• Ensures staff compliance with all local, state, and federal laws including all Health Department standards.
• Schedules all department personnel to ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained within budgetary guidelines.

Job Requirements:

• Knowledge of basic food preparation principles and procedures.
• Basic computer skills with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
• California Food Handler’s Card.
• Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.

Qualification & Experience:

• Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
• Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
