Job Responsibilities:
- Establish and manage processes for periodic inspections, risk assessments, incident investigations and corrective action assurance
- Act as a liaison with external regulatory agencies and safety suppliers
- Establish, maintain, and deliver safety education and training for all employees
- Prepare strategic and tactical plans as required to meet company goals around compliance and injury reduction
Job Requirements:
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and factory operations
- Knowledge of worker’s compensation laws and regulations
- Knowledge of governmental/agency regulatory requirements or legislation, occupational health principles, occupational safety programs and ergonomic principles, with the ability to apply to workplace environments
- Skill in interpersonal communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution
- Understanding of occupational health, safety, industrial hygiene and ergonomic principles
- Proven history of delivering sustainable safety improvements
- Team leadership experience in a collaborative working environment
- Ability to travel domestically on occasion
- 4 or more years of experience in the Occupational Health and Safety profession in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Investigation skills to determine root cause and conduct trend analysis of incidents
