Job Description:

The Financial Analyst II is integrally involved in financial planning, analysis and forecasting, including supporting strategic initiatives, multi-year planning, and return on investment evaluations. This position reports to the Director of Strategic Analysis.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis, as required
• Work closely with business partners in the development of the organization’s annual and multi-year plans
• Develop recommendations to leaders that support and drive key business, strategic and investment decisions
• Work with business partners across SDZWA to review financial results, including variances and key metrics, to inform forecasting
• Collect, analyze, interpret and summarize data and trends
• Perform return-on-investment analysis of organization programs, projects and opportunities
• Provide valuable insight with a focus on meaningful and material data points
• Administer and maintain financial reporting systems

Job Requirements:

• 3-5 years of finance-related experience
• Analysis of all aspects of organization, including: Revenue, Operating Expense, Labor, Capital Expense, from both a GAAP accounting and cash flow basis
• Budget planning and development, forecasting, financial analysis and reporting

Qualification & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Mathematics, and Accounting, Economics, Statistics or similar field preferred.
• Experience developing and utilizing data visualization tools, such as Microsoft BI, strongly preferred
• Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
• Demonstrated project management skills and ability to manage time sensitive projects
• In depth knowledge of financial reporting systems and processes
• Work within a team, take initiative and show strong attention to detail
• Expert in data analysis tools such as MS Excel; proficient in MS Word and MS PowerPoint
