Janitor – Ace Hardware Application

Job Description:

In our Ace Hardware Distribution Centers, our employees are the most important tools of our trade. Our Distribution Center in Tampa, FL is looking for an exceptional individual to join our team as a 2nd shift Janitor responsible for maintaining a safe and clean facility.

Job Responsibilities:

• Emphasize SAFETY at all times – work safely at all times
• Operate tugger throughout warehouse emptying trash cans
• Bale cardboard; requires ability to learn to properly operate the baler, including keeping it clean and in safe condition
• Operate forklift to perform various housekeeping tasks; requires the ability to be certified to safely operate various types of forklifts
• Operate scissor lift to perform various housekeeping tasks; requires the ability to be certified to safely operate the scissor lift
• Drive Tennant floor scrubber throughout warehouse; requires the ability to learn to properly operate the scrubber, including keeping it clean and in safe condition

Job Requirements:

• Clean up all spills; requires the ability to be certified in cleaning up hazardous chemicals
• Empty trash, sweep, mop, clean restrooms, vacuum, dust, clean windows, clean break room
• Comply with company policies, procedures and best practices
• All other duties as assigned

Qualification & Experience:

• Must prioritize safety at all times
• Must comply with all hazardous regulations at all times
• Quick learner with the ability to acclimate to Ace Hardware policies and guidelines
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs. on a routine basis
• Must be able to pass physical agility test (PAT)
