Job Description:
The Instructional Designer (ID) creates priority training curriculums, programs, classes and materials targeted at development of associates and managers for overall improved performance. The ID is an expert at creating training that most effectively teaches and transfers desired skill, knowledge and behavior from the learning environment to optimal on-the-job performance. The ID develops performance driven learning solutions, using best in class multimedia development to create training programs that are engaging and help learners achieve performance objectives. This role understands the internal client’s performance improvement needs, writes and edits training materials within project budgets, assembles materials using appropriate authoring tools, and ensures the project deliverables meet the highest expectations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Strong writing and/or editing skills; excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills; proficiency with leading content development languages, tools and methodologies
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite applications (Flash, Photoshop, Dreamweaver), Articulate 360 and other eLearning applications as appropriate
- Must display reliability and excel at meeting challenges with resourcefulness and innovative ideas
- Ability to work effectively and interact with team members and stakeholders at many levels of the organization
- Analytical and creative/resourceful problem solving skills
- Mastery of Microsoft Office applications
- Familiarity with video production, including video recording, lighting, audio, and editing
Job Requirements:
- Familiarity with modern design principals and importance of corporate branding standards
- Proficiency with web publishing technologies and platforms, including learning management systems
- Proficient and effective business writing skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once
Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelor degree in required in Instructional Design, Graphic Design, Media Production, Communication, Journalism, technical writing, Computer Science, or related field.
- Masters degree or equivalent experience required in Instructional Design, Graphic Design, Media Production, Communication, Journalism, technical writing, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5-8 years of work related work experience designing and developing learning curriculum grounded in solid adult education/corporate learning methodology
- Experience developing learning programs and media assets, including video, animation, graphics, simulations, e-Learning and live instruction support materials
