IId Jobs – Project Manager Senior

Job Description:

Under general supervision, provides project management and services within an assigned area; plans, manages, coordinates and executes all project activities and assures that project work  completion is on schedule and within approved budget; leads the development of project, resource and staffing plans, secures required resources, tracks and reports on progress, troubleshoots issues and ensures project results meet requirements regarding technical quality, reliability, adequate resources, including a reliable work plan and schedule, efficient and cost effective systems and resolves resource support issues for assigned project; establishes and maintains cooperation between other work groups and the project; oversees one or more projects involving multiple tasks and disciplines, employees, and contractors and integrates contract and District work; monitors and reports status on projects that include analysis, permitting, engineering design, construction, testing and implementation of new facilities required to enhance District business processes; develops business plans, objectives and initiatives for the project organization with input from project owner; may provide direction to a small group of direct reports Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• An official current driving record (obtained within the last six months) from your local State Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or from official DMV website must accompany job application (no third party records accepted).
• Veteran’s Preference (External Applicants Only): Submit DD form 214 or other evidence of veterans’ status by job posting deadline.
• A valid driver’s license issued by the State of California, Department of Motor Vehicles is required.

Qualification & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, construction management, information systems, public or business administration, and seven years progressively responsible work experience in project management within area of assignment, applying critical path analysis, project controls, estimates, prepare cost, and schedules, developing contracts and maintaining documents, reviewing drawings and specifications and applying project management related software system and two years of project lead role.
• Progressively responsible directly related experience may be substituted for the required education at the ratio of two years of experience for one year of education required work experience in project management within area of assignment, applying critical path analysis, project controls, estimates, prepare cost, and schedules; developing contracts and maintaining documents, reviewing drawings and specifications; and applying project management related software system including two years of project lead role.
