Footlocker Careers – Security Guard

Job Description:

Foot Locker is looking for Security Guards to join our team. Reporting to the Team Leader, Lead Detective, and Store Detective, incumbent will be responsible for securing the stationed Foot Locker store (Midtown Manhattan Locations).

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform other duties as assigned, in any store assigned for the tours scheduled
• Monitor customer traffic entering and exiting the store
• Stationed at entrance of store as a visual deterrent
• Sign in associates at the associate entrance and check employee coats and bags upon entry & exit
• Assist detectives in recovery of merchandise from shoplifters
• Observe sales floor for potential theft and fraud
• Perform merchandise ink tag audits

Job Requirements:

• Loss prevention and security experience is a plus but not required
• Must have good communication and penmanship skills
• NYS authorized 16 hour OTJ certification is a plus)
• Must be available for flexible hours (days, nights, weekend shifts as needed)
• Requires valid NY State security guard license (may be in the process, but must have filed and obtained a NYS ID by date of hire)
• Ability to collaborate and function as a member of a team
• Required to stand for prolonged periods of time
• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent in education
• Required to remain vigilant and on post at all times and to report for every shift on time
• As a condition of continued employment, employee must maintain current active status of required training and license at all times, and must carry the license at all times while on duty
