Job Description:
This position is being announced under FEMA’s Cadre of On-call Response/Recovery Employee (CORE) Program. This is a temporary appointment in the Excepted Service, not to exceed 2 years, with the option to extend based on workload and funding availability. Veterans Preference does not apply to the CORE selection process.

- Reviewing and analyzing legislative and regulatory proposals for financial impacts and consistency with financial laws, regulations, and policies.
- Developing, implementing, and modifying financial management policies, standards, regulations, and procedures to meet the requirements of programs.
- Providing administrative and technical direction and guidance to personnel regarding financial policy interpretation.
- Evaluating the execution of financial management policies and recommending changes to accommodate changing guidelines.
- Participating in working groups or task forces involved in developing financial management guidelines, and preparing presentations, reports, and decision papers in that regard.

Qualification & Experience:
- You qualify for this position at the IC-13 level (starting salary $103,690) if you possess the following. One full year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade (GS-12) in the Federal Service. This experience may have been gained in the federal government, a state or local government, a non-profit organization, the private sector, or as a volunteer; however, your resume must clearly describe at least one year of specialized experience. Specialized experience for this position includes:
- Analyzing, evaluating, and interpreting legislation, policy, regulations, standards, and procedures to meet the requirements of programs.
- Developing policy recommendations consistent with policies, standards, regulations, procedures, and program objectives.
