Job Responsibilities: Re-condition hydraulic brakes on cars and light duty trucks Performs repair work on engine assemblies Garage environment Performs dielectric testing of aerial lifts and test derricks and aerial devices for structural and stability integrity Performs preventative maintenance (PM) services and repairs on gasoline and diesel vehicles, construction equipment, associated equipment, as well as assist other technicians with PM or repairs critical to mounted mechanized equipment Reads and comprehends schematics and blueprints Work requires frequent bending, climbing on/off equipment Performs Department of Transportation (DOT) required inspections Tight area Job Requirements: Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification in medium and heavy duty truck repairs Boom/Crane operation, repair, and maintenance knowledge Possess working knowledge of engine and vehicle repairs, drive train components, ignition/fuel electrical systems, brakes, and steering systems specific to Freightliner, International, and Cummins Proficient in the diagnosis and repair of electrical systems and circuits Demonstrate knowledge and ability to utilize computer and associated mainframe and software programs Basic computer skills Good communication (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills Demonstrate skills and knowledge associated with hydraulics on vehicles/equipment Qualification & Experience: Two year associate degree or certificate in auto, diesel, or heavy equipment mechanics from a vocational school and 2 years of experience or 3 years directly related experience with a High School Diploma/GED.
