As a Software Engineer you will be part of a diverse and talented organization focused on building and maintaining complex web applications for ESPN.com. You will be a member of a team building the world’s #1 sports products working with modern server-side and web technologies such as JavaScript, Node and React to deliver scalable and elegant solutions for new product features and core site architecture.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and enhance core site functionality using server-side templating and JavaScript
- Partner with other engineering teams to deliver best solutions
- Build templates and modules that are used by millions of fans
- Work with product and project management to refine specs and timelines
- Implement best practices to continually increase performance and scalability
Job Requirements:
- Knowledge of JavaScript, JS frameworks, and server-side templating
- Proven understanding of front-end web development technologies and principles
Qualification & Experience:
- 1-4 years relevant industry experience
- Experience with task automation (Grunt, Gulp, WebPack) and CSS Preprocessors (Less, Sass) a plus
- Driven and self motivated
