Job Description:

As a Customer Support Engineer you will work with our client Double Negative to support RenderMan in the film and animation pipeline. You will work on solving customer issues and pipeline integration but also you work closely with the core and integration team as well as product management to improve RenderMan. Do you have a solid understanding of software application engineering and the rendering pipeline, an interest in working with an incredible team? If you enjoy finding creative solutions to difficult technical problems, collaborating with both technical and non-technical software users, and engaging with the visual effects community, then we have the job for you!

Job Responsibilities:

• Support the core and integration team with testing the latest version of RenderMan
• Collaborate with engineers on the customer side and our internal teams to help integrating RenderMan in their pipeline
• Contribute to team efforts by participating in design discussions, sharing engineering responsibilities, and encouraging adoption of good development practices
• Provide hands-on support to customers and fix bugs in legacy code
• Proactively test new and existing functionality to ensure the highest levels of quality
• Help educating the customer’s teams and provide help onboarding new staff

Job Requirements:

• Professional experience or a proven proficiency in C++ and Python
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
• Experience developing on multiple operating systems (Linux, Mac and Windows)

Qualification & Experience:

• Ability to work well independently within a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Familiarity with the latest developments in the computer graphics industry
• Experience constructing and shipping commercial software is a plus
• Experience developing for Houdini and other 3D applications (e.g., Maya, Blender, Katana)
