Job Responsibilities: Assist management with ad hoc requests/special projects Work closely with Finance to develop and refine relevant processes to achieve efficiencies Research and prepare explanations for balance sheet and income statement variances related to revenue and COGS, returns reserves, obsolescence reserves, and related financial statement line items Assist in the preparation, coordination, review and analysis of the inventory reporting processes for month-end and quarter-end with focus on management, segment, and corporate deliverables Review and update documentation of business processes, and ensure compliance with key controls Responsible for the day-to-day general ledger, inventory, and cost accounting activities for the vertical Publishing business Prepare income statement and balance sheet analysis Provide monthly and quarterly close assistance for other accounting team members Job Requirements: Inventory and cost accounting experience Strong quantitative and analytical skills, proficiency in tools allowing processing of massive data sets (Excel, Access, SQL) Experience with SAP or other Enterprise accounting systems B.A. or B.S. in Finance/Accounting; CPA or CPA candidate preferred Qualification & Experience: Excellent organization skills and effective communication skills (written & verbal) Ability to work proactively, independently, and as a strategic partner in a team environment Demonstrate understanding of US GAAP Financial Statements Ability to thrive in a strategic and creative environment which requires rapid learning, being flexible with work schedule, and prioritizing under tight deadlines Strong problem solving, decision making, and continuous process improvement skills Job Details: Company: The Walt Disney Company Vacancy Type: Full Time Job Location: Glendale, CA, US Application Deadline: N/A Apply Here careersvite.com
