Job Description:

The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) team is responsible for defining The Walt Disney Company’s global CSR and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) philosophy, strategy, and priorities. The team works closely with businesses and corporate groups (including Corporate Communications, Investor Relations, Human Resources, Diversity & Inclusion, Global Public Policy, etc.) to develop and drive through CSR and ESG initiatives that drive business value, social good, and maintain our reputation with the public, investors, shareholders, and employees/cast members.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead overall ESG and CSR B2B communications, marketing, and stakeholder messaging efforts, helping to identify which messages and initiatives should be prioritized annually to reach external stakeholders
  • Manage the tracking of ESR team budgets, including Five Year Plan, Budget, and all forecasts
  • Manage the CSR website, including updating program, policy, and news stories on an ongoing basis, and keep website updated and aligned with CSR strategy
  • As needed, lead initiatives that help embed the CSR and ESG strategies into our businesses and deliver brand and reputational benefit to the company
  • Track and manage CSR/ESG related industry rankings, including recommending which are highest priority and where needed, lead completion of surveys to support rankings
  • Establish CSR & ESG planning processes globally, and work with Philanthropy Operations and across the enterprise on an ongoing basis to compile and analyze annual and quarterly integrated plans and budgets to deliver on CSR objectives and initiatives

Job Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of the ESG and CSR landscape including ESG reporting
  • 7-10 years of progressive professional experience, with 2+ years in ESG, CSR, Investor Relations, Corporate Communications, and/or Strategy
  • Passionate about making a positive difference in society through the integration of sustainability policies, programs, and progress in core business operations

  • Strong credibility and demonstrated ability to influence change, lead, and network with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong leadership skills, including experience leading teams and inspiring others
  • Curious and able to draw business insights from data, interpreting it for real world application
  • Exceptional project management skills, and ability to work across multiple functions seamlessly
  • Excellent verbal and written communication experience, including copywriting experience and strong presentation skills for executive audiences
